Wiggle Giggle

Its official that my oldest has turned into a wiggle-giggle boy. Just look at this picture and you can see the craziness that is coming out at all times of the day. So do you think there is to much camo on him? Better to hunt in I say. :)




I gave him a buzz the other day for our trip to California and he went buck wild on me and bounced off the walls and has been that way ever since. He is really becoming a little man these days and it is really fun to watch. He loves preschool and has made lots of new little friends.

Smoker mania

The last month has been busy and as a result not much computer time but on the positive I received a cool gift from one of my brother inlaws for some work I did to his home. It is a silver smoker made by Char-Broil! Very cool gift and already have used it twice since sunday. My oldest helped me build it and was very happy to help out old dad with the nuts and bolts of the operation. Yesterday we grilled some yummy chicken breasts and the charcoal taste is great as compared to the gas grill we already own. Nice to have the option of gas or wild fire for my grilling needs.

I plan to smoke a chicken this week end and a future venison something in the future.

Show and Tell

It was show and tell at Alex's preschool today. He has been thinking of things to bring for the last couple of days and the top listed items were: Deer Antlers, toe bone from a deer and a bamboo flute from the Philippines. I was pushing for the shock value of the deer items but in the end we opted for the flute. I would have loved to see him show his precious musical item to his little friends but all I could get was a quick 3yr old version of the event. Yes and another yes to my questions and then a very hard blow on the flute to make your ears crack in the confines of the car as we drove home. Ouch!

Sore and more!

Since my last post and just three days of getting back into shape I am hurting in every part of my body and more. I knew it was going to be tough but ooohhh am I out of shape. They say that pain is weakness leaving the body and I must have lots of weakness! Anyway I do feel better and had forgotten how good it feels to relax after a good workout and guilt free eating. The 300 Spartan workout is a beast and my only goal now is to be able to complete the workout in a few months of training as now I can only do a fraction of it.
On the home front and the boys they are good and help be workout too as their weight and picking them up helps.
