Summers end

It has been a great summer for us as we bought a new house, made a new baby and Emilynda got a nice raise. We didn't get to travel much but with all the above activaties it is ok. Alex has grown by leaps and bounds and soon will be 2yrs old. That has come so fast and I can't believe that I have been a SAHD for that long. Time really flies when a little one comes into your life. Here is the most recient pic of our little guy.

Fun run

Wow do I feel great! Just went for a run with Alex in our jogging stroller and it really relaxed me. I have to do this more often. We go for walks in the morning to get a paper ect. But now I have to get the blood moving again. Next I have to get my bike rig out for a spin as I have a chariot baby carrier that will give me a good workout. I also have a light weight canoe that would be fun to get out on the water with Alex too. I seem to have lots of stuff to get exercise in but only need to put in the extra effort to use them. No more excuses!!!!

Its been Hot and more Hot

The temp outside right now is a chilly 99 with a heat index of 110. Another code red day and so we are cooped up in the house again as we have been all week. Its so hot out it isn't even any fun to get Alex to his little pool in the backyard. I thought of taking him to the local mall just to get out but even going to the car seems like to much work and sweat. A front is coming and that is supposed to cool things off for the weekend and next week. Washington heat is like no other I must admit. Hard to even breath outside when it is like this.

Blah Blah

Been a very hot week but now the heat has seemed to subside a bit. Alex and I spent the day indoors on Tuesday as it was a code red day and a heat index of 106. We plan to go to the lake today and have a picnic and a good play at the playground. We have a playdate with a close friend of mine and my wife. Yesterday we went to see an old friend and had a fun hike at a local park. Summer is grand but very hot at times. Alex and I have fun in his little pool in the back yard on these hot afternoons. Yeah.

Fishing

Me and my little buddy went fishing today. We hadn't been in awhile so we were do. The day started out hot and humid and continued through out the day. I got a couple of nibbles on the line but no takers. It was still fun to get out in my water shoes and cast a few. Alex had a good time so it seemed even though he had a meltdown when we passed a playground and didn't stop. He also kicked off a shoe and we had to go back track our steps to find it. We found it where he had his meltdown; surprise, surprise. Next week we are going on a longer hike and that I am looking forward to.
