The Haircut

Emilynda took it upon herself to chop the boys melon. And I mean chop! Just take a look at this people. I mean he looks like he just got out of the tribe in Papa New Gunie for goodness sake! He seems to however like it and now that it has been a whole day it is starting to grow on me too. Emilynda started to just get it above his ears and well as you can see the rest is visual history. He also reminds me of a squared away marine. Not a bad thing. Enjoy the show!

2008 Vote

What a historic day today will be or is already. A man of color is in all likely hood going to be the next president of the united states. Emilynda and Alex went to the polling station together and did the paper ballot option. She let Alex put the ballot in the box and be part of the process. I can't help thinking about my two sons life times and what they will witness in the future and what kind of candidates they will vote on. I can remember the first time I voted in an election and it was for the second term of the Reagan era. How far we have come from then to now. My late Grandfather was a Republican but I was brought up as a democrat. I often wonder now who he would have voted for in today's election. Hard to say but I know how our family voted today and hope that my kids will be given the same balanced outlook for an informed vote as I have in my life.

Now go vote if you have not already!

Fall fun

Over the week end we went to the park and relaxed for a bit. Emilynda has been studying very hard for her up coming CPA exams so a needed break was in order. These family times always remind me how lucky we are as a family to have healthy energetic kids to play with. The weather was perfect and the fall color was at its peak for us. With the winter weather soon to come it is a must to get out on these beautiful days and enjoy our kids. They are growing so fast and really cool to see them play and interact with on another as they do their growing.
