Josh on the move

I thought I would donate a post on our youngest boy. He is really growing fast and it seems faster then the first. He is crawling and pulling himself up to stand now which is quite a feat for my little pork chop. He will be 7months old tomorrow and I can't believe where the time has gone. His first tooth has come in on his bottom jaw and he loves to gnaw on my cross that I wear around my neck. Teething must be a real drag for the little guy and hope that it ends soon. We got him a little mobility thing and he loves to roar around the kitchen floor in it but if you aren't careful he will sneak up behind you in it and catch your heals! ouch! this is a pic of him today riding in it.

Growing up

The boys are getting big and growing fast. Alex turned three last month and is becoming a little opinionated person. His language is coming along nicely and has some funny ways of saying things. An example is his tendency to go into high pitched mode when he is unsure of an answer although cute at first it becomes annoying when he does it for effect on every sentence! Ack!! His manners are doing well too as he even says "no thank you" when he is mad! Funny stuff! Joshua is climbing up and moving about well now as he is a strong little dude. He has the screamer award as at times the pitch is ear drum crushing tone. I didn't think a person of 21 pounds could muster up that much volume but he seems to have no problem with it. All in all the boys are doing well and we are having a ball playing and raising them. I even figured out how to practice with my compound bow in the back and still watch them and be safe.
On another matter the hunt goes on but no luck. I am starting to realize though that hunting is more about the hunt then it is about the kill but then again I knew that all along!

Fall has arrived

Been kinda lax on the bolg entry's lately but hope to get better involved soon. I have taken up a new hobby and it has taken a big chunk of some of my limited free time. The new hobby is Bow Hunting and I have been practicing my shooting for the last couple of months. I can hit a nice tight bunch at 20 and 30 yards so I am now confident I can harvest a deer with minimal suffering or none at all. I had to take a 10hr class to get my hunting license from the state and then get the applicable tags for deer and other big game that comes along with the license so I am all legal. I have been out three times so far in my camo and gear but it is harder then one might think. I have come in contact with the deer on all my outings but have been unable to get the right shot or close enough with out being detected. Deer are smart and can see and smell like nothing I have ever seen. The antler less deer season started on the 15th of September but this Saturday starts the buck season. Wish me luck as my wife is getting antsy for some tasty deer meat. And yeah my wife is more gung-ho then I am about getting a deer as they are eating her garden.

Here is one at work in our yard.
