Want it ! Need it !

The I wants have started and last for days! Alex loves to look at catalogs like his daddy and dream of all the goodies one could have. He told me yesterday that we had to go to the store right now before someone else would get it. I tell him that wanting something doesn't mean that we are going to the store to get it as we don't always get or need what we want. He hasn't grasped that concept yet! So he goes on and on about going to the store to get whatever and then insists we have to go right now before it is to late. Oh yes the sky will fall if we don't act now! Aaaack! He has become a hardened consumer at aged 3.2yrs. Well of course I don't give in to this gluttony of wanted goods but it is becoming harder and harder to quill his appetite of the wants. So lies the delema of every parent on the best was to teach thankfulness of what you have and what you really need and to exercise restraint for the wants and gotta have it right now mentality. Hard to say no to your little ones but even harder when you have ones as cute as mine. :)
