Lowballing People
Selling our house and the first offer is 10K less then we are asking and want us to pay 2% of the cosing costs. I cant stand cheep people looking to steel somthing. The house has been on the market only 7 days so I am hopful we will get a better offer then that crap. This is more of a rant then a blog: sorry people.

New home
Busy,Busy and more busy is the motto as of late. Our little family is growing so we found a nice home with almost twice the Sq footage as the one we have now which is a condo. Getting this house ready to show this weekend was a major pain but worth it. Packed all the stuff we don't use often and rid the place of unessesary furniture has really made a good dent in the look of the place as well as a jump on the upcoming move. Doing all the things we needed to do was not making our little lovable boy too happy as he was attention deprived or so it seemed to him. In the new place he will have his own room and big play area inside as well as outside with a front yard. The garage is also a plus as that will be my tool and fix it spot. The location is much more private and far less cars passing in front as we are close the end of a cuildesake with a wooded back.

Weekends
Weekends come and go so quickly it seems. Saturdays are my time to do other things rather then home duties. I feel the outlet is very important to my overall sanity of staying home all day with the kid-o. Lately my fathers basement has been my hide out as I am finishing it out for him and doing most of the work besides the electrical and taping of dry-wall as that is a job I hate to do. I much prefer the building and installing phases of a basement finishing job.
The other weekend outlet is football! The Redskins lost but I have family in Seattle so rooting for the Seahawks as a consolation isn't that bad. Also drinking beer is a great weekend activity.

Happy Friday
It was another beautiful day here with sun and 60 degrees in January. Got another good walk in with the kiddo and we went to the local dept. store. Alex and I picked out a sexy outfit for mommy and we will surprise her when she gets home. We took the long way home from the store down past the local lake. I always feel great and privileged on days like these as I get to spend so much quality time with my son.

So tired
Went for a walk/jog today and boy am I out of shape and pushing Alex in the jogger made it even more evadent. He however had a good nap in the comfort of his stroller and we both soaked up the beautiful day. Alex also continued his onslought of crazy behavior by digging in the plants, splashing in the fish tank and finally throwing out cans and juice bottles from the lower cuboard. All in all it was a fun yet taxing day for Daddy and son. :)

Touch of spring
Yesterday was a touch of spring and 63 degrees. Fun to get Alex back outside for some play. The weather is going to be good all week so maybe I can finally get the cars cleaned and the planting beds cleaned too. We also have the bug to go fishing but too much to do this week. I Gotta bake bread today too as we have nothing for dinner or breakfast in the morning. I also have been cleaning out our closets as the piles of crap are getting to me.

Wanting to talk
The past couple of days Alex has really seemed to be really wanting to talk. He will have a long conversation with you in his own language of baby babble. He does lots of pointing and talking. I am wating for the day that he just blurts out a word or phrase. I get the feeling he is going to be a chatter box once he gets the hang of talking. I predict there will be know shutting him up. Busy Busy and Talk Talk will be his way in the future. I try to always talk to him and say what things are as he points. I hope that this is helping him learn. We try to read to him but his attention span is still quite short.

Cabin Fever
Had to get out of the house today or the boy and I were going to go crazy. I get a bit down on the days of January. It's cold, glomy and short on light so not much to be happy about (the weather that is) so it was time for a daddy road trip to the park and some dad/son shopping. We went to Borders and got a beer mag. and then off to the fish store for some cheap tetras and the like. Alex and I always have a good time out and about. Tommorow it is off to our favorite local store "Wal-Mart" WoW so much to do and so little time.
